YUKI BLOWS THE SAILS OF “CERCANDO CALIPSO” IN GENOA
The Project
The “Cercando Calipso” project was born in Genoa in 2009 to bring close to the city’s sea the minors followed by the territorial socio-educational services affiliated with the Municipality of Genoa. An agreement between 10 sailing associations and 9 municipalities has made it possible to live the experience of sailing, and not only, in the sea for many young people who, due to family problems, socio-economic and cultural conditions, would not have had the opportunity to live an educational and sporting experience as complex as that, which became possible thanks to the natural element that characterizes Genoa
The program
- Weekly sea trips on small sailing boats, cabin cruisers, canoes and / or other transports, but also fishing or ship modeling
- Deep sea navigation on weekends
- Participation to conventions and events
- Multimedia experiential reworkings
People involved
100/130 minors, 20/25 educators, sailing technicians and associative volunteers and families
